Nickel-hydroxide cell captures CO2 from air at about 0.83 MWh per tonne

Researchers have demonstrated an electrochemical direct-air-capture system based on a symmetric nickel-hydroxide cell, with a 5,000-hour laboratory durability test and a larger stack using about 0.83 MWh per tonne of captured CO2.
